How is Cupid and Valentine’s day connected?
Just wondering because why would you want a naked baby with a bow and arrow with a heart at the tip of it be the mascot of a holiday that involves candy and love?

Cupid (eros) was the greek/roman god of love. He shot two types of arrows, love and indifference. Thats where the bow came from. He was often shown as a baby, so i hope that answers your question.

Cupid was the Roman god of love. But I don’t know what the connection is between the Catholic Saint Valentine and Roman mythology.

Cupid (or Eros) is the greek god of love. That is how he looks like in Art and how he is described in the myths.
